Another Successful 4 Month Body Transformation:
Robert Flanagan

< Getting the progress ball rolling... >

Rob is an Irish guy in his early 20's. I met him while I was working in the country and to be honest he was in pretty good shape even then.

The main problem he was having was that he was stuck at the same weight, and had been for almost a year.

Well, as you can see, the rest is history!

WEIGHT GAINED - 35LBS/16KG
DURATION - 4 MONTHS (116 DAYS)
STARTING BODY FAT - 14%
FINISHING BODY FAT - 8%

Rob was kind enough to leave the following comments with his attached before and after photo's:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was just your average guy going to the gym 3-4 times a week not really knowing what worked and what didn’t until I got the opportunity to use Reuben’s Permanent Muscle system.

From day one it was an inspiration to me when it came to my training, particularly weight lifting and new methods. From simple exercises to in-depth training the program was always very clear and Reuben is truly great at explaining his brilliant mentalities.

He places great value on correct form before and during an exercise. He basically drills it into your head.  From the very first session and throughout, he taught me that my motivation should always be driven by results.

In my personal opinion, Reuben’s training and his Permanent Muscle program is at a different class in every facet to anything else available and trust me I’ve tried many other so called ‘wonder’ programs.

Be aware though, If you’re not ready to take your body to its full potential then there would be no point in using this program, because from day one he makes you understand that; ‘If you can’t focus on your goals, you can’t succeed’.

Look at the pictures I’ve attached with this, the first one is me before going on holidays in Spain with the girlfriend and then next is not even 4 months later! You can see for yourself that Reuben made absolutely huge changes to my body’s size and performance.

I have taken so much advice from him and his program that has not only educated but also inspired me so much that I changed career paths to become the successful personal trainer I am today.

Thanks pal,

Rob Flanagan

< When you're simply not getting the results you want... >

Often when you’re struggling to get out of a current plateau or finding it difficult to build muscle and reduce your body fat levels, you need to take a step back to focus on what is it that isn’t working.

Once you discover this, your precious time can be used on training methods that get results.

Being honest with yourself and having the bravery to try something new can often be one of the biggest hurdles someone has to face.

Anyone can build muscle, anyone can get ripped, but the fact is, only around 3% of people who workout, ever achieve the look and performance they were aiming for.

Now I’m giving you that chance, the power to make or break your physical future.

Permanent Muscle is a training program I’ve developed over the last 6 years. It’s 11,000 hours of coaching experience designed around building muscle and getting ripped.

It’s based around a person’s CURRENT condition, and then progresses with the direction that person wishes to travel.

Rob (above) simply wanted to build muscle and get ripped, using Permanent Muscle meant it didn't take him years to achieve, but it certainly saved him from many costly mistakes and years of frustration.

Now he has the body other people want, with the confidence and performance to match.

< Bigger biceps, stronger chest and ripped abs are just around the corner >

*** Update ***

The above transformation is an extreme example of building muscle and gaining weight in a very short amount of time.

Robert himself works as a fitness trainer, meaning he spends an average of 8 hours each day working/training in a fully equipped gym. He followed a strict regime of training, dieting, natural supplementation and muscular recovery. The reason his story was posted on this site was because its results are out of the ordinary and far beyond average growth rates.

The comment/story in this post was written by Rob himself and has not been edited. The same applies to the before and after photo's which you will notice only display the clients upper body, not his lower body which added to the majority of his overall weight gain.

As I said, this is an extreme example of what can be achieved, certainly not everyone can or will succeed at this level.

For anybody leaving comments, please don't disrespecting my morals as a trainer and the 100% free support I have given this websites users over the last 2 years. This post is an example of one persons success building muscle, take it as that and please respect the courtesy he has shown by sharing it.

Cheers,

Reuben Bajada

Shane Flanagan   |2010-07-07 06:07:54
Guys I lived with Rob for almost 9 months, and there is no relation by the way, this guy lived slept dreamed worked in the gym, he did nothing but burst his bolox everyday in the gym, rarely drank alcohol, worked out 7 days a week, and home cooking all he would eat was healthy food, he even stopped eating carbs after 12 in the day for a period to reduce bodyfat, it says in the above hes now a personal trainer, this guy used every supplement under the son EXCEPT steroids, he has a love for working out and to point out something it dosent show his legs in the photo which grew exceptionally well also so just take them things into consideration and u will easily have +35lbs in four months.
Ryan  - Intensive Workouts   |2010-06-24 06:54:28
Hey man i love your intensive no rest workouts they are a great suppliment to my existing workout helping me improve my endurance and strength at the same time.

Also a note to some of you who are disillusioned about gains, 35lb in 4 months is a realistic gain if you work your ass off i did it and lost about the same in body fat at the same time,

Hard work and proper nutrition is the key.

i'm two months into rubens program and ive gained ten pounds so it's not impossible you just gotta work hard and do it right.
Will  - Stop your whining!   |2010-03-22 13:55:47
I've been training for about 5 years and knowing pretty much what I'm doing (but we all can keep learning right?).

I'll admit I was a bit sceptical about these results but having just read all 800 pages of the new book (Yes, I am a fast reader due to my previous degree) I am actually agreeing with pretty much all of what the book says. Esp with regards to harnessing your hormones, something of which you people who bitch should probably do. Only big girls bitch.

I agree some of the workouts in the book I'm not keen on but will give them a go to change things up. If you think I'm a newb to training, you can just ask the author of this book as I ask a lot of decent questions (and no, not about how many sit ups it takes to get a six pack) lol!

Stats= 214LBS, 32" waist, 48" chest.

TREVOR   |2010-03-16 18:03:31
cant wait for your book reuban looking forward to starting a complete different workout

Judá Armas  - U R AWESOME!!!!!!   |2010-03-15 18:04:11
hey all you people out there. I hate the fact that all of you keep on talking smack about reuben, because I'm 15 years old and I gained 13 pounds of muscle in less than a month. which means that this is not impossible. This guy has helped me so much, because I couldn't do alot of exercises and now I'm able to do so many things. So all of you better back off, because this dude is the real deal here. Don't worry reuben...I got your back. take care bro.
Eric   |2010-03-15 16:28:57

trevor   |2010-03-14 15:37:31
I dont no if you guys know who taylor lautner but he gained about 30 pounds of lean muscle mass in less than a year for the second twilight movie so that a lone is proof i no he is famous and probably did nothing but workout out all day but he still did so anything is possible
Peter   |2010-03-14 05:49:34
I believe it could happen, firstly it doesn't state he put on 'lean' muscle mass, only weight, i can see yeah the pictures and the pose of the before and after are positioned for more of an effect but its possible, with creating good testosterone levels a good diet and hard training it is. Creating allows your muscle cells to hold more water this is why in the 8 week shot he has improved to dramatically he would have started using it. Creatine alone would have helped to add a lot of that weight with just water, its still good progress.
Glenn   |2010-03-14 05:26:46
I can not wait until your book is released Reuben! You inspire me every time i get your newsletter!
You should be extremely proud of yourself!

And for all of you who want to bad mouth, what have you ever done to help out others for free? huh? NOTHING!

Give the man credit!

You bitch and moan, yet will use what he has to say to help yourselves out. Y'all dont deserve his help if you are going to be like that!

Keep up the great work mate!
Ethan  - Awesome   |2010-03-14 04:35:02
Great! That's how progress should be. Everyone wastes so much time not knowing what they're doing in a gym and when someone actually is trained properly no one believes it. :p

Can't wait to read your book Reuben.
Gabe  - Amazing   |2010-03-14 04:34:27
WoW...That is realy amazing good for him.His chest has grown alot and his arm too
Daniel  - Really?   |2010-03-13 20:15:10
Justin's post read:"read above retards, 35 lbs. Some of it is fat too because not only did he gain muscle he lost body fat but also gained some in places as well"-
Really? He lost fat in some places and gained it in other places while going down in bodyfat%? Don't call other people retard when you talk out of your ass, if your not 8 years old or something you might actually be retarded, get it checked out-
Eric   |2010-03-13 15:34:15
also as you can see, the before picture of this guy, he is not even flexing. The after picture, he is flexing a LOT, and his skin is also darker which means more emphasize on the muscles, so he probably put on some cream that a lot of body builders put on before competitions.
Eric  - I agree   |2010-03-13 15:31:14
i agree with you guys on this being a really really stretched truth. Although i do respect Reuben, because of his techniques and the way he approaches body building. This guy is a champ for sure, but according to Scooby (the youtube champ that everyone recognizes), he states that the most amount of LEAN muscle you can gain in a year is 10 pounds and that's with excessive diet and training.

so i guess it's pretty farfetched for this guy to gain 35 pounds of lean muscle, i don't know Reuben, are you just promoting your program??? I know your a really great and original trainer, but i don't know if this program is really THAT goo lol, i hope it is, cuz i think i am getting it anyway.
Justin  - not 35lbs of muscle   |2010-03-13 10:45:51
Stop hating everybody, this is great for 4 months, he probably just followed a strict diet for 4 months followed reuben's permanent muscle program and used protein powders. This guy did not gain 35lbs of muscle... read above retards, 35 lbs. Some of it is fat too because not only did he gain muscle he lost body fat but also gained some in places as well... if you guys read reuben's buildingmuscleworldwide site then you;d know
Darin  - well   |2010-03-13 10:30:58
we will see...
anonymous   |2010-03-13 09:37:34
Yea i agree with all you guys it seems way good to be true and to gain that much in as little as four months is a bit crazy
Anonymous   |2010-03-13 09:03:28
this guy was in good shape to start with before the training :S
G (UK)   |2010-03-13 08:46:21
hard work determination sensible training routine and the right diet its possible hes done a good job
lion   |2010-03-13 07:36:34
If this is really not a lie, there is only one possible answer to this progress:

1. He has damn good genetics and testosterone values

2. He had been in this shape once but stopped training (muscle memory)
Reg  - I agree....   |2010-03-13 06:34:55
I agree with you guys, but I'm one those guys that train nearly a year now and I in a kind og *plateau/. Not making anymore progress (I can't even lift more weigt now). What can I do to break this barrier? It's been 4 month I can't pass 195lb in the bench!!!!
Filip   |2010-03-13 04:31:18
16kg in 4 months!? That's 1kg each WEEK! What a load of bull... Impossible.
Anonymous   |2010-03-13 04:28:03
Pretty impressive. I would like to see more pictures of him tho.
I can't really see his arms in the first picture. His upper chest grew a lot. I still think it's a nice achievement in a couple of months!
Anonymous   |2010-03-13 04:23:00
This is impossible, even with AAS it would be a difficult result, and the pictures above just don't show a guy with 16kg more. I am 185cm tall and weight 94kg, I am not ripped but I lift heavy weights and even take part in some PL competitions, a result like 16kg more at 8% would take years naturally. the statements and pictures above are just bullshit.
Anonymous   |2010-03-13 04:00:44
Mate, Gaining that much lean muscle in a year is a bit farfetched, let alone in four months. With roid cycles and great eating/training, you could achive it in 6-8 months MAYBE.

The claim that his bodyfat went down, and his muscle mass went up, it just doesnt add up. his photos don't do it justice, either.

I'm 181cm 90kg, I do a stronglifts 5x5 program and I train MMA. I'm no ripped/shredded calvin-klein looking faggot, but I can move heavy weights (compound, not isolated crap) and i'll tell you, it takes years to get any decent amount of size. Otherwise, resort to roids.
keith   |2010-03-13 03:50:15
getting real sick of the bullshit been put up...

35lb muscle gain in four months is physically impossible.Really its impossible and to claim otherwise is claiming readers of this are stupid.
Maybe with a very very strict diet and extremely controlled steroid cycle but even then thats a stretch.

Theres plenty of extremely dedicated intelligent lifters out there who are lifting a long time and know this is beyong the human bodys ability to produce.

This guy looks great, but gained 35lb of muscle...No thats not true.
